Purpose of processing personal data (purpose of use of the file)
The purpose of processing personal data is to manage and develop the customer relationship, offer services and products available in the Service to customers, as well as transmit, monitor and manage the related payments. In addition, the purpose of processing personal data is to develop the business operations of Mediani Group Oy by, for example, analysing the users’ interests and their selection of services and products and any related wishes they may have, as well as utilising this information for the purposes of business development.
User information may also be used to target information on products and services displayed within the Service to improve the customer experience. The purpose of processing personal data may also be to target the research operations related to Mediani Group Oy, as well as the marketing and advertising activities performed by Mediani Group Oy and/or its cooperation partners to customers to improve the customer experience.

Description of the group or groups of data subjects and the related information
Registered users form one User group. The data of the users is stored and maintained in the protected data networks of Mediani Group Oy.
Regular sources of data of the file
Data is collected in connection with registering with the Mediani service, as well as during the customer relationship. Personal data may also be updated from the population register or other registers maintained by some other data controller maintaining a service for addresses, updates or similar services.
Removing data
Data may be removed by request of the user or because the customer relationships has ended. In addition, data may be removed due to monitoring, if the customer misuses the service or otherwise conducts illegal, unethical or similar actions when using the service.
Principles of protecting the file
Personal data is kept in confidence in the protected data networks of the Mediani service. Only those Mediani Group Oy employees who need the data to carry out their tasks have right of access to the data. Service users only have right of access to customer data that concerns their own products and services or contacts comprising of other users. The Mediani Group Oy data network, including software and the devices on which the file is located, are protected with a firewall, personal user identification and passwords, as well as other technical means. The service provider shall organise data security for the Service in a generally acceptable manner and strive to prevent any unauthorised access of their data systems. The service provider shall inform the user of any data security breaches in the service. The individuals who process the users’ personal data are bound by confidentiality and penal provisions specified in the Personal Data Act.
Right to prohibit processing
The user has the right to prohibit the release and processing of their data for the purposes of direct advertising, distance selling and other direct marketing. The customer may exercise their right to prohibit processing by notifying Mediani Group Oy in writing to the data controller address mentioned above.
Utilising the data outside the EU and the EEA
If necessary, data collected in the file may be used both in the European Union and the European Economic Area, as well as outside these areas, when Mediani Group Oy or a company within the same group, or a third party in cooperation with Mediani Group Oy acts outside the EU or the EEA. The personal data of users may only be released outside the EU and the EEA in the scope specified in the Personal Data Act.
